Welcome to FunRiddles.co. Our mission is to publish clear, original, and family-friendly riddles, brain teasers, and explanations that make thinking fun for all ages. This page explains how we create, review, and maintain our content.
What We Publish (Scope)
- Original riddles, classic/public-domain riddles, and curated submissions
- Logic, math, wordplay, lateral-thinking, emoji, visual, and classroom-safe puzzles
- Difficulty-rated sets (Kids, Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert) with hints and fully worked solutions
- Teaching tips and activity guides for educators, parents, and team leaders
We do not publish hate speech, harassment, dangerous “challenge” content, or puzzles relying on stereotypes or demeaning premises.
Our Standards (At a Glance)
- People-first: Helpful, accurate, and accessible for diverse audiences
- Originality: Prefer original writing; classics used with proper attribution or when in the public domain
- Accuracy: Solutions are tested, edge-cases noted, and wording refined to avoid ambiguity
- Safety & Inclusion: No slurs, “punching down,” or harmful tropes
- Transparency: Disclose sponsorships/affiliates; label AI assistance; correct errors promptly
Editorial Principles
1) Originality & Attribution
- We create original riddles and rewrite or adapt ideas into fresh, clearly worded versions.
- When we publish classic or widely known riddles, we verify public-domain status where possible. If a known author/source exists, we credit them.
- We avoid copying contemporary, copyrighted riddles without permission.
2) Clarity, Fairness & Solution Quality
- Each riddle is vetted for fairness (solvable without obscure trivia unless labeled), clarity (no hidden grammar tricks), and answer uniqueness (or alternatives listed).
- We provide hints (clearly labeled) and complete solutions with reasoning, not just the final answer.
- Ambiguities and valid alternate answers are acknowledged in the solution notes.
3) Difficulty Ratings
- We tag puzzles by difficulty using reader feedback, solve-rate data, and editor judgment.
- Ratings are periodically recalibrated as we collect more performance data.
4) Inclusivity & Safety
- We reject content that demeans identity groups or encourages harm.
- Kids’ content is classroom-safe by default; edgier or trickier sets are labeled (e.g., “PG-13” or “Expert”).
5) Fact-Checking (for factual or thematic riddles)
- Where puzzles involve facts (science, history, sports), we verify details against reputable sources and ensure the solution remains valid over time.
- Time-sensitive facts are date-checked and updated as needed.
6) Style & Readability
- Plain language first; concise wording for riddles; bold answers or place them behind toggles when the site UX supports it.
- Consistent punctuation, typography, and American English by default.
Creation & Review Workflow
- Pitch & Outline – Choose themes based on reader requests, seasonality, and learning value.
- Drafting – Write or curate riddles with proposed answers, hints, alternates, and tags.
- Peer Solve Test – Editors and test-solvers attempt each riddle to catch ambiguity or multiple valid answers.
- Sensitivity & Safety Review – Screen for stereotypes, demeaning premises, and unsafe “stunt” prompts.
- Final Edit – Verify difficulty, labels, formatting, and SEO (without keyword stuffing).
- Publish & Monitor – Collect reader feedback and update where needed.
Corrections, Updates & Takedowns
- Corrections: If you spot an error or a better alternate answer, email us with the URL and details. Confirmed issues are corrected promptly; significant changes may receive an editor’s note.
- Updates: Evergreen sets are reviewed at least annually; popular or time-sensitive pages more frequently.
- Takedowns: Rights or safety concerns are reviewed quickly; content may be revised, attributed, or removed.
Use of AI Tools
We may use AI to assist with idea generation, organization, sensitivity scans, or proofreading. However:
- Humans create, select, and review all published riddles and solutions.
- We do not publish unreviewed AI output.
- When AI substantially contributes to a section, an editor reviews for originality, fairness, and clarity.
Sourcing & Citations
- Facts in riddles/solutions (e.g., math constants, dates) are checked against primary or reputable secondary sources.
- When a riddle’s phrasing or concept is traceable to a known author or work, we credit where feasible.

We welcome reader-submitted riddles and alternate answers. By submitting, you grant FunRiddles.co a non-exclusive right to edit, publish, and republish your submission with attribution at our discretion.
