Sharpen reasoning with this curated set of 75 logic-grid puzzles, arranged from easy to expert.
You’ll get quick instructions, printable templates, and a full answer key.
Use them for classrooms, parties, or solo brain training—each puzzle is self-contained, fair, and designed to build systematic deduction skills. Plus pacing notes included.
How Logic-Grid Riddles Work (Quick Primer)
- Goal: Match each person to exactly one item in each category (e.g., name → pet → day) using the clues.
- Uniqueness: Every puzzle is designed so one complete solution exists.
- Grid method: Draw a grid with rows and columns for category items. Mark ✓ for confirmed matches and × for impossibilities.
- Clue types:
- Direct matches: “Ava bought Vanilla.”
- Exclusions: “Ben didn’t buy Chocolate.”
- Relational/ordered: “Vanilla was before Strawberry.”
- Either/or chains: “Cara was either Monday or Wednesday.”
Solving Steps (Pro Strategy)
- List categories (Names, Items, Times/Days).
- Enter direct facts first (fast wins).
- Cross-eliminate with each clue; every ✓ creates several ×’s elsewhere.
- Leverage order clues (before/after/earlier/later).
- Close with uniqueness: when a row or column has one open cell, fill it and cascade deductions.
Classroom & Party Tips
- Start with Easy (3×3) grids for warmups; move to Medium (4×4).
- Timebox rounds (e.g., 5–10 minutes Easy, 10–15 minutes Medium).
- Print the templates below for quick play.
